Where do I begin?
Start with the letters in your child’s name. Then learn the rest of the letter names and sounds. Then practice writing and blending. Each step prepares the next one. Do not skip ahead to books until the letters and sounds are becoming easy.
Learning the letters in a name does not have to start with writing.
Give your child a bag with only the letters in their name. Have them practice putting their name in order. Then say each letter . You can say it like a cheerleader. This makes a great morning puzzle routine.
